I’m a San Francisco artist, and how lucky is that? The City has been my main inspiration since I started painting, and it continues to provide me with an endless source of beauty to draw (or paint, mostly in oils) from.

My focus is on the everyday, the beauty that surrounds us in our daily life. I’m less interested in SF’s iconic landmarks (though they show up from time-to-time) than the dramatic effects that light, shadow, and topography can lend to a seemingly ordinary street corner. Edward Hopper once said something like, “…all I really want to do is paint sunlight on the side of a house.” I can totally relate.
